Pastor John L. Armstrong Jr. has been Senior Pastor of Harbor Life (previously Countryside Cathedral) since 1992.  Prior to that time, he served as Minister of Music, Youth Minister and Children’s Minister at the church.  A lifelong resident of Clearwater, God has given him a vision for the church and our community as a whole.  He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and has served on various boards and denominational committees during his tenure as Senior Pastor. 

Pastor Armstrong believes Harbor Life has a special calling and anointing to make a difference in the Countryside/Safety Harbor and all of Pinellas County.  He has a true love for Jesus Christ and a vision to reach out to a hurting and desperate world.

 

His wife of 37 years, Sharon, is vital to this ministry. Her venue has included children’s ministries, women’s outreach and church administration. She works alongside Pastor Armstrong in all his endeavors. 

Pastor Shawn has been working in youth ministry for the past 10 years.  He has a passion to see the next generation step into their role in the church.  Serving Junior/Senior High youth in Club-D, the core of our youth ministry is to "Lead students in becoming fully devoted DISCIPLES of Christ."  Pastor Shawn is a Discipleship oriented teacher who also works in our music ministry as well as young adult ministry and the Manna Cafe!  His wife Stephanie and new baby Allie Reese Middleton love to serve and be a part of the family here at Harbor Life.  Check out the youth page for "Club-D" in our "Groups" section of the main page.
